Notes: (1) When to change the CMOS battery? If your PC clock is consistently losing or gaining time, we suggest you change the CMOS battery. Most time, the old battery is not re-charging properly and a replacement will solve the problem. If that does not solve the problem, you may have to change the motherboard. (2) It's very easy to change the coin-type battery on a motherboard. (3) The coin-type battery is used on most new motherboards. If you have a motherboard that's more than 2-3 years old, check the existing battery type to make sure that the coin-type will fit to your motherboard.
