3C Expo 2002 Pictures of New ProductsDongguan is located at the crossing of Hongkong, Shengzhen, and Guangzhou economic corridor, which is among the largest international manufacturing and processing bases in the world. In 2001,the export volume of Dongguan reached US$18.9 billion, is the 3rd city among the largest cities in the country, following on the heels of Shenzhen and Shanghai. There are over 2800 computer and I.T related industrial enterprises in Dongguan, among which computer communication products export volume was US$9.2billion in 2001. Big proportion was taken in the worldwide computer communication products' market: computer magnetic heads, computer cases and half-finished products-40%; computer drivers-30%; scanners, mini-motors-20%; computer keyboard-16%; computer motherboards-15%. In this city, you can find over 95% computer accessories for assembling a computer. No matter where you order, all is made in Dongguan. "Traffic jam in Dongguan might cause world-wide shortage in stocks." This is the actual portrait of this famous international manufacturing city. The 4th China Dongguan International Computer Communication& Consumer Electronics Exposition was held in the new built international exhibit center of Dongguan from Oct 13 to 17, 2002.
