Redesigned Black "Hydraulic" Mid-tower Case
Newly Improved Hydraulic!
This re-designed Hydraulic mid-tower has the following new features in the body of the case: (1) There are now mechanisms to mount two 8cm case fans in the rear. This solves the ventilation issue for the old design, which had only one 6cm case fan mount in the back. The slap-on mechanism is very easy to use. No screws are necessary to mount the fans. (2) The case now comes with a factory-installed side window with blowhole/fan. The factory made acrylic window looks very professional.
The new features work with both the classic hydraulic front bezel design and the newer USB one.
The USB curve front bezel has the following features: Curves and lines in the front bezel, making the entire case look even more modern and attractive. Front USB port that works with the sliding door! The USB port is not blocked by the sliding door. Side blow hole for extra cooling with golden fan grill for a cool look. The USB port has a universal interface that works with almost all motherboards with extra onboard USB ports.
Features: Sliding front panel that automatically slides down by a push of a button on the top of the case. Elegant outlook. Sufficient inner space. One removable side-cover and one side window. Screwless snap-on front panel. Removable M/B plate. Removable and screwless 3.5 drive frame. Replaceable I/O shield panels. Power LED with work/sleep mode. Three 5.25" and two 3.5" external drive bays. Two internal 3.5" drive bays. Seven expansion slots. Dimensions: 17x7.5x19.5"/ 432 x 191 x 495 mm (LxWxH). Made of steel. Power and reset switches. Power and hard drive light indicators. Patents pending on the hydraulic design. The front bezels for the black and beiged colors are the same as shown above. Four optional case fans: 8cm in the front, two 8cm in the back, and one 8cm w/ LED on the side window.
Compatibility: Almost all standard ATX motherboards should fit in this case including Athlon motherboards from FIC, Abit, EPoX, BioStar and Asus although this case itself is not Athlon approved. If you have a motherboard with an onboard network adapter, you must use the I/O shield that came with your motherboard since cases normally do not come with such special I/O back plates.
Limited Warranty: One year from invoice date with Directron.com. No refund once assembled. 30-Day money back with 15% restocking fee for non-defective returns. No credit or refund after 30 days. Customer is responsible for returning manufacturer defective products including DOA unless testing is paid before shipping.
Notes: (1) How to choose a power supply?. (2) Rarely do computer cases come with assembling instructions. We have put together an instruction sheet for you. The text version is free of charge. The latest one with diagrams is only $2. (3) Technically the term "hydraulic," used by the manufacturer, might be misleading to some people. It is really a "dampened" fall. You still need to manually move the cover up. (4) Question about the connection options for the case fan? Click here for answer. (5) Received a "dead" ATX power supply? Click here. (6) Some of the power supply upgrades we offer may not be P4 ready. To confirm that a particular power supply upgrade is P4 ready (ATX12V) please check the item page for that power supply in the Power Supply section. (7) Yes, you can also use a P4 ready case for Athlon, Pentium III and other non-P4 processors. (8) Side blow holes are used for extra cooling. (9) Hydraulic case (no front USB ports) is available now. (ud022703mp)
Instructions for Front USB Ports: Currently, there are no standard for the additional USB connectors on motherboards. This case comes with a universal USB connector design that is compatible with almost all motherboards. Such a universal design may take some time to work with. You must read your motherboard manual carefully to figure out the pin layout for the USB ports to connect them. The front USB ports in this case have 9 pins and 7 connectors. The pins are labeled as:
One 2-pin connector: 1. D+, 1. D-
One 2-pin connector: 2. D+, 2. D-
Five 1-pin connectors: 1.VCC, 2.VCC, 1.GND, 2.GND, and 3.GND
Motherboards typically have nine pins for extra USB ports. Unfortunately, the pin layout and labels on motherboards are not always consistent from one brand to the other. For instance, 1D/2D corresponds to those labeled on motherboards as SBD2/SBD3, USBDT2/3, USBP2/3, USB0/1, and ICH_U_P2/3. VCC corresponds to SVCC, USB Power, 5V, and VREG_FP_USB_PWR. Examine the layout and polarity on your motherboard carefully before connecting the connectors.
