Houston's First Internet Business ParkHOUSTON, TX - The concept of business park has been around for a long time. However, the idea of Internet Business Park (IBP) is still quite new. No, an Internet business park is not simply an office building with fast Internet access. Today's Internet means much more than a website and broadband. It means e-marketing, e-commerce, e-communication, and e-business optimization. For any conventional businesses, such as CPA, attorney, sign company, music instrument seller, insurance agent, and art studio, to be successful on the Net, it will require Internet business knowledge, experience, and tools. That's what the new Internet Business Park offers.A conventional business park typically provides a variation of the following: Office space, infrastructure such as parking and roads, utilities such as electricity and water, and conventional communication services An Internet-ready business park may provide the following in addition to the above: Broadband Internet access and advanced communication services A fully integrated Internet Business Park offers the following additional business services: eMarketing, eCommerce Integration, communication integration, ebusiness optimization and automation, custom programming, IT consultation, IT staffing, and IT services Conventional real estate companies can't provide such services due to the lack of expertise. The co-founders of Houston’s first Internet Business Park have more than 14-years of experience in owning and operating successful IT companies (such as Houston Computer Center) and 10-years in running successful e-commerce businesses (such as www.directron.com). As the co-founders are purchasing a 38,000 square feet office building as a rental property, they want to put their IT expertise and know-how to use to benefit other businesses. Therefore, the idea of an "Internet Business Park" was born. To their best knowledge, there have not been properties based on such a concept in Houston and even perhaps Texas. Internet has been around for many years. Unfortunately, many conventional businesses have not been able to take advantages of it because they do not know what to do beyond opening up their websites. They assumed that business would follow once they had the website - much the same way as they expect from their yellow-page advertisement. For many small businesses their websites do not help them generating new sales. There is a large market for Internet business services such as eMarketing, eBusiness optimization, automation, etc. to make these businesses much more competitive through the Internet. Yes, such Internet business services are available remotely. But one should never underestimate the power of having an eBusiness service provider right inside the same building. Perhaps the virtual distance and barrier between the conventional businesses and the Internet business service providers is one of the reasons why Internet has not been so widely effective. Finding a good Internet business service provider is rare. Finding a good Internet business service provider in your own building is even rarer! The new Internet Business Park is located at 5855 Sovereign Drive, Houston, Texas 77036 in West Houston. The location is adjacent to the West Chase Business District and within the proposed International Business District. It has easy access to Beltway 8, Westpark Tollway, and Highway 59 to reach Downtown, Galleria, Sugar Land, Katy, and other local destinations. The building is gated with 125 parking spaces. Shared T1 line shall be available cost-effectively for all tenants for web hosting, email hosting, Internet access, and VoIP phone services. Wireless access shall be available throughout the building. Services shall be provided to re-design and optimize existing websites, integrate Internet/phone/fax services, and automate back-end operations such as shipping and tracking. Emarketing strategies shall be formulated to grow the Internet-driven revenue for each business through cost-effective Internet campaign. Office automation and integration shall help the tenants to reduce their operation costs. Advanced communication tools shall provide ways to manage customer database, customer services, and customer relations effectively and digitally. In-house hardware, software, and network experts shall provide low-cost, high-response IT services to small businesses that can’t afford their own IT staff. To established businesses, the Internet Business Park is an “optimizer.” Through many Internet business services, the well-located building shall bring much foot AND virtual traffic to the tenants. The goal is to make the tenants successful not only in the brick-and-mortar world but also in today's virtual world. To start-ups, the Internet Business Park shall act like a high-tech “incubator.” Plans are made to start up a few new Internet businesses together with several partners. The idea is combine the know-how of Internet business and conventional ones. The names of these start-ups have not been disclosed yet. The Park will offer alliances, seminars, training, workshops, and other programs on how to do business online. With time the Park shall build its reputation as the premium location for Internet businesses and services. A wide range of products and service based on today’s information technologies shall be offered such as payroll, inventory control, time management, shipping automation, etc. The first tenants include LeeHuangCPA.com, BYSoftinc.com, MaxDistribution.com, Modware.com, CaseArts.com, Spela Enterprise (a sign company), to name a few. These companies shall be serviced by an Internet service business (to be named), which shall be anchored at the center of the building. The building shall be owned and managed by Internet Business Park, L.P. Together these companies provide unparalleled services, convenience, and business power to the neighboring community.
