How about making a cold cathode light kit yourself for your next mod projects? You can get all of your parts right here. Included: 12" or 4" cold cathode fluorescent tube packaged in a plastic enclosure for shipping with 11" white wires. 12V power adapter for the cold cathode in a white box. 11" 2-pin Power connector with black/red bare wires.
Optional: 4-Pin power connector to make it easier to connect to the power adapter (shown below). Pre-wired toggle switch so that you can turn the power on and off specifically for the light. Heat shrink tubes for covering the power adapter.
What else you may need: You may need some double-sided tapes or plastic ties to mount the light tube and the power supply inside your PC case. You may consider using a clear acrylic tube to hold the lamps.
Instructions: (1) Connect the 3-pin connector from the cold cathode to the power adapter. (2) Connect the 2-pin connector from the black / red power wires to the power adapter. (3) Cover the power adapter with the 3/4 heat shrink tube (optional). (4) Connect the black/red power wires to a switch (optional) or to a 4-pin push-thru Molex connector (optional). (5) Plug this molex connector to a power supply or to the wired-toggle switch (optional). (6) Mount the switch and light tube into your case. Find the appropriate location for the switch and light. (7) Test the switch and light. (8) Picture below is the power adapter. Actual size: approximately 1x2.5".

Warning: High voltage is used to power the cold cathode tube. Do not touch the circuit of the power adapter when it is in operation! Covering it with a heat shrink tube is highly recommended!
Notes: (1) Special installation is required to use this product. If you have never had hands-on experience with electronic parts, you may be better off purchasing the ready-made kits. (3) The wires may not be long enough for mounting the light tube at the rear of your case. An IDE Y-cable is highly recommended for extension purposes. (4) Picture shows a 12" tube. The smaller picture shows a 4" blue light. (5) The black (UV) light is used to show fluorescent materials inside your case. You can use fluorescent paint to paint messages and patterns inside your case that are visible only when the UV light is on. (Steven-012006)
