(002) Directron.com shows off some cases from AMS including the gBox.
(00) Directron.com shows off some cases from CaseArts.
(01) The most interesting product? shown in the entire CES through our PC modding glasses is this computer built on a microwave oven.
(02) On the top of the "microwave oven" PC?is a slot DVD drive. The keyboard is conveniently placed on the top.
(03).Once the "oven" is open you can see the "guts" of the computer. The oven window is an LCD monitor. The motherboard is placed as the "tray" for the oven.
(05) You won't be able to heat a pizza with this microwave!
(04) The oven controls are turned into controls and switches for the PC.
(06) The back view shows the power supply and cable connections.
(07) Shuttle is showing off their small ITX cases/barebones.
Weight: 2.85KG(N.W.), Aluminum Chassis, Socket478 (FSB400/533), Slot: PCI x 1, AGP x 1, USB, 1394, 6 Channel audio, TV out/DVI support optional.
(08) This one comes with a front EL panel that glows in the dark, which is cool.
(09) This is the second most interesting product throughout the CES that we saw for modders. Some one has added a LCD display to the Shuttle box turning the small box into a full-function PC!
(10) Here is another view with a clear image of the monitor in the front.
(11) Here is the rear view showing the modded Shuttle box.
(13) The shuttle box now also comes with other colors.
(14) Another ITX case/barebone on the market.
(15) Two more competing boxes.
Power Supply: 200W, Aluminum Case, Drive Bay: 5.25" x 1, 3.5" x 1, 3.5" x 1 (hidden), Remote Control, 2.9KG, 180mm x 210mm x 320mm (HxWxD), Motherboard: Socket478, FSB: 400/533, DDR333 x 2 slots, USB2.0, 1394, on-chip VGA, LAN, ATA133, 5.1 Channel Audio.
(16) This is not a PC box, but possibly a DVD/CD box. It surely would look nice if it can also be used for PC.
(17) Another CD box with built-in speakers.
(18) Expect the clear PC to hit the mass with significant price drop soon! There are at least five manufacturers producing them in mass quantities now in Taiwan, Korea, and China. Here is, yet, another one of them. The unique feature of this design is the metal frame used for the I/O shield, which should ensure a better conductivity among the component grounds and stability than those all-acrylic designs.
(19) This clear PC is designed as a DIY kit to avoid shipping damage. It also helps shipping cost due to the lower shipping volume.
(21) A very solid aluminum “desktop case? but not designed for PCs but for audio equipment.
(22) Another aluminum desktop case. This one is for PC.
(23) Can we get some ideas from the home theater designs for our future PC cases? This one surely look “classic?and elegant.
(24) A very nice painting job for this external optical drive.
(25) The front view with red opening bezel.
(26) During Comdex we saw the introduction of circular cold cathode lights mounted on case fans. During the CES we saw the same concept but with a UV light and a UV-sensitive case fan. The result: a glowing case fan! This is a green one
(27) This is an orange one.
(28) LED beams for directional lighting of features inside a case. Each box comes with three high-intensive LEDs with reflective materials on the back. We'll have these in stock this week!
Hour life: 200,000, (22 years), Voltage range: 12-14 volts D.C. Draw: less than 26mA @ 12 volts! Dimensions (WxLxH): 1 11/16" x 5/8" x 3/8",
Low heat output, Waterproof, Shockproof.
(29) Rounded cables with EL lights inside ?another nice twist to the rounded cables. We'll have this product online soon.
(30) This is the third most interesting mod products we saw in CES. This is a rounded IDE cable with built-in Molex power plugs, which further reduces the number of cables/wires inside a PC.
(31) Some of the light features inside an aquarium could be used inside a windowed PC.
(32) A lighted EL sticker for the window? The wires must be hidden first!
(33)This guy is touting a way to coat small metal parts with a simple plating process, turning dull-looking keys and other small items into shining ones (chrome or golden colors). Can we use this device for customized modding of computer parts?
(36) The modded cars often have a fire extinguisher placed inside. How about adding such a “feature?for that overclocked, under-vented computer of yours?
(38) An echo buster? How about one for PC?
(39) Maybe, we can borrow the idea from this novelty item. The mug has a light and rotating message board which comes up whenever you pick up the mug to say “cheers.?There is a switch on the bottom of the mug that turns on and off by the gravity of the mug.
(40) Last but not the least. Some one is coming with a copy of this pyramid design of automated fan control! Expect a price war.
Processor controlled fan speed management, Lighted enclosure in a clear case, Dimensions: 1.5" × 1.5" × 1.1" (W×L×H), Rated Power: 24 Watts, Power: 12V, 5V. Buzzer alarm and LED flash when temperature is over 42oC, Five super bright LED.
