KTI 2M Multimode Fiber Cable, w/ ST ConnectorThe demand for more bandwidth and greater distances place continual strains on Local Area Networks (LANs), hence the growing trend to upgrade networks from copper to fiber cabling. The Multimode Fiber cables from KTI offer industry-compatible fiber connectivity for networks of all shapes and sizes. With its high bandwidth capacity, these fiber cables offer a reliable set of high-speed network links between devices. Fiber is an increasing standard for mission-critical and time-sensitive data applications operating in businesses and organizations today.This patch cable features fiber ST connectors, two on each end. The ST connector employs a rugged metal bayonet coupling ring with radial ramps which facilitate engagement to the studs of the mating adapter. Two ST connectors are available for jacketed fiber, one with a red boot and one with a blue boot. The two colors enable easy identification of the fibers when terminating individual connectors to form a duplex jumper. A connector for buffered fiber is also available as well as a connector that includes all the components required to terminate either jacketed or buffered fiber.
