Change Drive LEDs to Blue!Nothing beats the beauty of a bright blue LED when you are approaching your computer in dark. We have now taken this industry-trend to the extreme: We now offer most of our floppy and optical drives with an option to upgrade the LEDs to blue!Get rid of those boring, age-old green or amber LEDs. Show off your drives with blue lights. Never before have the LEDs been available on such a large scale to the masses. For only $9.50 including both parts and labor, we'll replace the old LED with a blue one. You can choose any drive you like. Just select the drive mod option before you add it to the shopping basket. We maintain the same manufacturer warranty on such modded drives. In comparison, if you do the mod yourself, you'll be responsible not only for making sure the LEDs work but also for the warranty afterwards. What if you already have a drive but want to have the blue LED? Or what if you already bought a drive else where? No problem. You can add this item to the shopping basket and send in your drive. We'll do the mod and send it back to you within a few work days after we receive it. Notes: (1) For the ship-in mod services, a customer will pay the shipping both ways. (2) Please make sure your drive is functional before shipping it to us. (3) Once modded, there is no refund for this labor charge. (4) Directron.com is not responsible for shipping damages. (5) This service is not available for all drives. If you don't see this option on a drive, most likely it is because the mod does not work on that particular drive.
