Short for Error Code Correction, memory errors usually can decrease the reliability and availability of servers, causing loss of productivity and revenue for businesses. ECC RAM stops crashes due to memory errors. It can correct errors as small as 1 bit. Notes: (1) ECC (Error Correction Code) memory is a complex form of error detection which not only detects, but also corrects most memory errors while your system is running. Make sure that your computer can support ECC . ECC supporting means the system is capable of supporting ECC memory. Some computers do support ECC, however, originally came with non-ECC memory. If you want to go with ECC memory, you need remove original non-ECC module when installing an ECC module. (2) Although this memory is of a standard design please be aware that we cannot guarantee compatibility for all systems. The memory may or may not work for proprietary based systems like those produced by Compaq, HP, Dell, or E-Machines. Please carefully investigate the specifications for your system before purchasing.
