Neither restarting my PC nor clearing CMOS helped. How do I fix this issue? - Answer: This problem may be caused by bad jumper contatct on "Chassis Intrusion" pins. Please clear CMOS, remove the "Chassis Intrusion" jumper and then put it back securely to resolve this issue.  I have just built a new PC and found that Drvie Xpert does not recognize my HDD under Normal Mode (Bypass Mode). This problem only happens with particular models of HitachiGST HDD, and not others. Is this normal? - Answer: Please update to the latest Marvell drvier (V1.2.0.57) to resolve this issue. The driver can be downloaded from the link below: http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/sata/Marvell/Marvell_SATA_V12057_XPVista.zip I bought 4 Seagate 1TB hard drives to set up RAID 5 on ICH10R on this motherboard. However, I am unable to install Windows Vista successfully on this RAID volume. How do I resolve this issue? - Answer: Due to Intel and Microsoft limitation, for HDD volume over 2TB, the volume cannot be used as boot volume. Hence you will not be abe to install OS and boot from this volume. Please limit your volume size to under 2TB if you would like to make it the boot volume. I noticed that this motherboard has this new Drive Xpert function. Is there anything I need to be aware of when using this function? - Answer: When you use Drive Xpert function, please note the following: 1. Drive Xpert function is available only on SATA_E1 (port 0) and SATA_E2 (port 1) connectors on the motherboard. 2. Drive Xpert function is only available when being used as data drive. 3. When using single hard drive in Normal Mode under Drive Xpert, please connect your hard drive to SATA_E1 (port 0) connector on the motherboard. 4. The SATA_E1 and SATA_E2 ports are for SATA hard drives only. ATAPI device is not supported. 5. It is recommended that you use two new hard drives or make necessary backup before using the Drive Xpert function. - All original data of the SATA_E2 hard drive will be erased for EZ Backup setup. - All original data of two hard drives will be erased for Super Speed setup. 6. Before using the Drive Xpert function, be sure that you have installed the Marvell 61xx driver in the system. 7. For optimal performance, it is highly recommended that you use identical hard drives of the same model and capacity.
