Acomdata 2163 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 HDD External Enclosure HDEXXU2E3, for 3.5" IDE/EIDE Hard DrivesBuild your own high-performance external hard drive with an AcomData 2163 USB 2.0 Hard Drive Enclosure. The 2163 features: a lightweight aluminum alloy case; horizontal or vertical placement; quiet, fanless operation; hot plug capability, and; a chassis design that makes installing an IDE hard drive quick and easy.Features: Plug & Play Setup: On most systems, installation involves nothing more than connecting the interface cable, plugging in the power cord, and turning on the Drive. Windows 98SE users will need to install the driver software CD (included). See the Users Guide for complete instructions. Vertical or Horizontal: The compact aluminum alloy enclosure can be placed either horizontally or vertically. Detachable zinc alloy stand and rubber feet are included. On-Off Switch: You can turn this hot-pluggable drive on and off as needed-while your computer is running-to conserve electricity. 48-bit Logical Block Addressing: With 48-bit LBA, the 2163 supports the highest capacity IDE/EIDE drives available today-and for years to come. Near-Silent Operation: The 2163 Enclsoure dissipates heat so efficiently it doesn't need a fan. It's so quiet, you'll barely notice it.
