HEGA is a non-profit organization based in Houston. We welcome all Houston area golfers to join us to have a great time and to know other golfers.

NEW: Annual HEGA Championship

One change we have this year is that we are going to follow a system similar to the FedEx cup, so at the year-end tournament with the cumulative point system we are going to crown a Champion of the year. Every tournament point will count toward this, and in the end, we want to have a ranking of all Houston golfers.

Rules for HEGA Championship

1, Only HEGA regular member are eligible. (it is a great time to belong!)

2, All four tournament points are counted towards the total, we will have Flight A (15 and lower) and Flight B (all the rest, including female players).

3. Steady play and participations win you a lot of points. We are going to have sponsors in this series, so our top 3 players in each fight will have more just bragging rights, but good rewards as well.

4. Only gross stroke are counted, not handicap adjusted scores, towards the year-long competition, and each placement will be converted to points as the formular below.

5. Remember, you can win the series by the participation and hang in there tough.

6. Each tournament championship is follow the HEGA tradition with the handicap adjusted scores for Fight A and B.

7. We are still looking for title sponsors for each tournament and the 2009 series.

8. The point system is modified from the FedEx cup, and here is what looks like: (Sudden death play-off for first place only, other ties will split the points.)
