Removing the Case Cover
This case is a full covering case, the whole outer covering will lift off
There are no screws needed to remove the case cover. Lift up the two tabs at the front of the case to release lock the case lock. (See picture 1)
Then pull the case cover towards the front to remove it from the chassis
Attaching CD-ROM, Floppy and Hard Disk Drives
Recommendation: attach the different disk drives before mounting the motherboard
Locate, on the picture to the right, where you will be attaching the drive
NOTE: If you are installing a CD-ROM or zip drive, you will have to remove the one of the plastic sections found at the front of the case cover by unlatching it from inside the cover. (See picture 3)
Insert the drive in its appropriate slot. (See picture 4)
Fasten the drive with several bolts.
Mounting the Motherboard
This case supports ATX motherboards only.
Remove the motherboard base support by unscrewing fastener screws at the side of the support. This will allow the base support to slide out, making it easier to mount the motherboard and attach motherboard components.
To attach the motherboard to the base support, you must first install plastic clasps then tighten the bolts on top to secure the motherboard. (NOTE: This may differ according to your brand of motherboard)
The panel of the case can be removed if you wish to customize it for your specific motherboard.
Attaching PCI and AGP Cards
Before you attach the PCI and AGP cards to the motherboard, you must first remove the prop slots found on the back of the case chassis.
After you determine which slots must be freed for your PCI / AGP device, remove the corresponding slots by fatiguing the slots at their stress points. After a while, they should come off easily.
Finally attach the PCI and AGP Card to the motherboard
Secure the card with a bolt.
Installing the Power Supply
If you purchased a power supply from Directron, it should already be installed. Otherwise, you will need to install it yourself.
The power supply has to be mounted at the top end of the backside of the chassis
Once installed, fasten the power supply with bolts
Hard drive and CD-ROM drives use these power connections
Floppy Disk Drives uses smaller power connections
The motherboard will require the ATX (Depends on your motherboard)
Remember that the fan also needs to be supplied with power to function correctly!
Connecting the Front USB and Sound Terminal
Snap in the USB and Sound Terminal to the front of the chassis
Route the wires connected to the terminal to the back of the case
Fit them through the small hole in the chassis and connect them to the appropriate ports in your motherboard.
