Rules, Notes & FAQs for Operation LAN

1. We reserve the right to refuse a reservation for any reason. Incomplete reservation forms will be ignored. Please fill out the form entirely.
2. We reserve the right to change the specifics of the contests without prior notice. We encourage participants to work out the game plan such as maps and formats. However, Directron.com has the right for final decision.
3. No alcohol. No drugs. No illegal activities. Anyone caught cheating, hacking or sending viruses will be ejected.
4. No speakers (headphones only).
5. One system per person to play. You can share a system with some one, but each player must pay the registration separately.
6. No smoking inside; smoking is permitted outside.
7. All attendees must check in at the registration table and log in their items. You'll need the log-in sheet to check out any items you brought to the event.
8. Re-admission for paid players is free on the same night.
9. Anyone caught damaging or vandalizing the facility including but not limited to wall, glass, windows, floor, doors, tables, and chairs is responsible for the damage.
10. Dress code: You must be dressed normally.
11. By entering the LAN party you agree to hold Directron.com and it's employees harmless for any and all actions occurring within.
12. Actual prize and the way prizes are awarded may change from event to event. Prizes awarded are subject to change pending on vendor participation and other factors such as shipping arrangement. All prizes won are final. No RMA, replacement, or repair on prizes.
13. If you win any of the contests, you agree to allow Directron.com to use your name and pictures for the marketing of future OperationLAN events and Directron.com website. You agree to pose for pictures taking with the products and the vendor banners. You agree to give email address and other contact info to OperationLAN and write a brief thank-you note or email to any of the vendors supplied by Directron.com and give a brief review/comments/impressions on the products or their brand. You also agree to visit the vendor's web site at least once. If T-shirts or baseball caps are part of the prizes, you agree to wear them as much as you can during the remaining of the event. You agree to take the time to be interviewed by any media or journalists who may request during or after the event.
14. Directron.com reserves the right to refuse service to any one without a reason. This is a private party.
15. All events are subject to cancelation without advance notice.
16. Directron.com or its employees are not responsible for any loss or damage to your personal items or personal injury before, during, or after the event.
17. No outside food/drinks allowed when food/drinks are available by the organizer.
18. All attendees must sign a form to agree to these rules before entering.
19. The most important rule is to respect each other and enjoy the event.

• You'll need a 10/100 Ethernet network card on the PC you intend to use at the party. We'll have some network cards for sale during the event. You don't need to bring any network cables. We will supply them at the event. Some parts may be available for purchase in case of emergency (network cards, keyboards, headphone, and mice).
• Admission is free for those who do not wish to play. All players must show their registration badge.
• Max spots available: 200 (subject to change)
• We may change the fees, games, and prizes for future events without notice.
• Fee may be fully or partially refundable if a player does not get to play due to technical difficulties or cancelation of an event. Fees prepaid are not refundable because the player does not show up.
• A picture ID is needed for pre-registered players who do not bring a pre-registration receipt.
• Food / drinks will be available at the event at a cost.
• Directron.com and some manufacturers shall display banners and some new and featured products as sponsors of this event.
• Winner of the case mod contest is not eligible for future case mod contests at the LAN party, but is still eligible for our online case mod contest. If no good mod candidate is available, we may choose not to award the contest mod at any given night. Directron.com employee is not eligible for this contest.
• If you bring your own machine, be prepared to register all your belongings before entering the gaming area. You must show your registration sheet before checking out. Do not bring any network patch cables.
• We'll provide basic tech support and software patches to run the games. We may not have Internet access onsite.
• Security guards will be present during the event.
• We plan to have Operation LAN party routinely. It's now tentatively set to have one every month during the summer, once during the winter break, and once during the spring break.
