18-Unit Laptop Security/Mobile CartA laptop cart allows you to lock up all of your computers, charge them overnight, have the mobility to move 18 computers around, and access to network and printer through wireless connection ALL at one location. It's a great application for the concept of COWS - computers on wheels. Excellent for K12 elementary, middle, and high schools where laptops are used in the classrooms for students to check out.Entire cart shall be completely welded together. Cart shall have one 36-1/2"W x 24"D, 18-gauge steel work surface shelf. The underside of the work surface shall have one 18-gauge stiffener with two 28.5mm holes for use with an optional security cable. Work surface shall be covered with black rubber mat. Cart shall also have one 36-1/2"W x 24"D, 18-gauge steel bottom shelf and eight 36-1/4"W x 17"D, 18-gauge interior shelves. Each laptop compartment shall measure 14-11/16"W x 17"D x 3"H. Also enclosed shall be two, 20-gauge outer panels and two, 20-gauge inside panels. Cart shall have one 20-gauge back panel. Back panel shall have two 2" diameter grommet holes and a cut out for an automatic timer located at the bottom rear and on outside back panel there are two cord winders for cord management. Cart shall have two 20-gauge doors that shall have multiple-point locking system with re-programmable, three-dial combination padlock to lock doors. All panels shall have ventilation holes throughout. Legs shall be 18-gauge 1" square tubular steel. Unit shall have four 5" plate casters, two rigid and two swivel with locking brakes. Cart shall have two built-in handles. Each model shall be painted in grey powder coated paint. Overall dimensions shall be 36-1/2"W x 24"D x 43-13/16"H. Unit shall have two, nine outlet electrical units which shall attach inside the cart. Electrical units shall be installed inside the front or back of the cart. Each unit is UL listed, surge protected, shall include a 20' power cord, and has an on/off switch located at the base. When using both electrical units at the same time, each unit must be plugged into outlets on separate electrical circuits to prevent the overload and tripping of the circuit breaker. Unit also shall have one, three-outlet electrical unit which attaches to the back of the unit. UL-Listed cart includes an automatic timer. Specifications: 18 COMPUTERS: Stores and charges up to 18 notebook computers. 18 HORIZONTAL COMPARTMENTS: Two columns of 9 compartments, each column with its own electrical access. 18 OUTLETS FRONT OR REAR: Two overload-protected UL-Listed, nine-outlet units which can be ordered in the front or rear of the cart. AUTOMATIC TIMER: Due to electrical limitations, each 9-outlet electrical unit must be plugged into separate circuits and not separate outlets OR use the LAPTMR to automatically switch from charging one bank of computers to the other. SECURITY: Resettable combination padlock included. Notes: (1) Laptop shown in picture is not included and must be purchased separately. (2) Call or email for special bid prices for school districts, public agencies, and quantity orders. We respond to RFPs nationwide. (3) By placing a router and a printer on the top of this cart, the unit can easily be turned into a printing station and a wireless access point for all the laptops.
