Blinking Hyper LED - Extreme Bright Green LL102Introducing blinking hyper L.E.D's. These Gallium Nitride L.E.D's represent the latest breakthrough in L.E.D. lighting technologies. At 3.6CD these LED's will shower the interior of your case with extremely bright blue, red, or orange light. All this is achieved with only 13mA current draw.Bare leads for easy installation. Plastic holster included. Originally designed for automobile industry for alarm signals and as visual theft deterrence, you can use this product to replace existing LEDs on the front of your case or add them as decorations to window or front bezel of your case. Traditional cases come with green LED for hard drive and green or amber ones for power. These hyper LEDs will blow them away! They work off 12V power from the power supply. However, these cannot be used as indicators for hard drive activities. Installation: The installation instruction that comes with the product is for cars. However, it's simple to modify the procedure for the PC. There are three wires: Black, Red, and Yellow. Black is for ground. Red is for 12V DC. Yellow is for alarm system accessory (for automobile alarms only). You do not need to use the yellow cable for computer cases. The yellow cable used to activate (12V) or deactivate (ground) the LED. A 2-way switch is highly recommended for this product so that the LED does not stay on all the time. To replace an existing LED, you must carefully remove the existing LED without damaging your case. Notes: (1) Directron.com is not responsible for any damage as a result of using this or any products. (2) This LED works on 12V DC. Regular LEDs that come with your case run at 3.3V. Do not plug this LED to the regular plugs on motherboards. (3) There is a polarity on the LED. It should work only in one way. (4) If ordered, the $3.99 toggle switch will be shipped separately and NOT connected (recommended for DIYers). We now offer a second toggle switch with pre-wired 4-pin plugs, which makes it much easier to connect a switch to a light although a 4-pin plug is required on the light.
