Notes: (1) The main concern about the compatibility of a laptop hard drive is the thickness. The most current thickness is 9.5mm. Previously it was 12mm. A thin drive will work as a replacement for a thicker one. However, a thick one, which is no longer available from us, will most likely NOT fit inside a laptop that comes with the thin one. (2) The IDE form factor is virtually the same among all laptop drives on the market. The width of laptop hard drives has been standardized at 2.5". (3) The first and often the most difficult part of upgrading a laptop hard drive is to open the laptop case and gain access to the hard drive. Check our your system manual. If you don't have a manual or yours does not show you how to open the laptop, you'll have to guess where and which screws to open. (4) Toshiba defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes and a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes. (hyz082305)(qc082405dxy)
