(FIC) is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new SiS based motherboard solution for AMD Barton processors with 400MHz FSB. The new KT-748 motherboard boasts a plethora of on-board features and the usual high quality FIC customers have come to expect. A spokesman representing the FIC Networking and Information Group commented, "FIC is keen to provide a comprehensive range of motherboard solutions supporting all the available chipset and processor technology. The new SiS based KT-748 motherboard is a powerful AMD processor based system that makes full use of the advanced chipset features." Advanced features include a front side bus (FSB) frequency of up to 400MHz, support for up to 3GB of DDR SDRAM, Ultra DMA ATA 66/100/133, on-board 5.1 channel audio, on-board LAN interface, USB 2.0 support and optional IEEE1394 ports. The KT-748 also supports suspend to RAM, RTC alarm, wake on ring, auto power failure recovery, hardware based intelligent anti virus protection, HW monitoring and Hard Disk fault protection. Like all FIC motherboard solution, the KT-748 comes with a full collection of Novus utilities. The FIC commitment to provide support for AMD processors is as strong as ever. Das L7S7A2 mit dem Chipsatz SiS746/963 ist die dritte klassische SiS-Platine für AMD-CPUs aus dem Hause ECS, die Versionen mit integrierter Graphik einmal nicht mitgezählt. Im Folgenden wollen wir uns mit der Frage befassen, ob das L7S7A2 das Potential besitzt, das schon legendäre ECS K7S5A mit SiS 735 (auch 745) hinsichtlich Preisgestaltung und Stabilität abzulösen und ob es dabei noch ein gehöriges Leistungsplus verzeichnen kann.
