A System Builder (SB) is anyone who assembles, reassembles or installs software on a new or used computer system. Microsoft OEM System Builder products are designed to make it easy for System Builders to acquire and distribute genuine Microsoft software with the systems they build and sell. By purchasing this product, you agree to adhere to the System Builder license from Microsoft. You can purchase this product in one of three ways: (1) Purchase it together with a fully assembled computer system. (2) Purchase it together with a non-peripheral computer hardware component in any quantity. A non-peripheral hardware component is a component that is essential to running a computer system, such as memory, hard drives, optical drives, motherboard, video card, processor, mice, keyboards, and power supplies. You must accept and adhere to the System Builder license from Microsoft. (3) Unopened OEM System Builder packs (3-pack) can be distributed to other System Builders without the need to include non-peripheral hardware (essential hardware for operation/use of a system). Limited Warranty: No refund, exchange or credit for OEM software. Only media can be replaced if defective within 7 days. OEM versions are for system builders only and cannot be transferred to another PC once it is installed. Notes: (1) This OEM version of Office comes with Microsoft Publisher, but does not have the MS PowerPoint. The retail packaged Office XP Standard has the PowerPoint, but no the Publisher. (2) Directron.com is a Gold Member of Microsoft System Builder Program. All Microsoft products sold here are guaranteed to be genuine and counterfeit free. (3) This product is an OEM package designed for system builders. It must be purchased with an entire system or a major system component of any quantity. The remote control by itself is not considered as the essential hardware. Major hardware includes memory, hard drives, optical drives, motherboard, video card, processor, mice, keyboards, and power supplies. Failure to purchase this product with a major hardware component will invalidate the order during processing. (4) Examples of components that are not considered essential are external modems, networking devices, cameras, printers, and scanners.
