You are permitted and encouraged to create links to this page from your own web site. SHEX: What Order Should I Setup My New Computers Software. Step 1. Install the OS(Operating System). Step 2. Install a firewall or at the very least enable the built in one(XP only). Step 3. Install the network card/modem driver. If you can not connect you can not install any updates. Step 4. Download and install all relevant Windows updates. Step 5. Install AV Software, a real firewall(if you are using the XP one). Step 6. Download and install all system drivers. Step 7. Install the "big programs", Microsoft Office, IE6, etc. Step 8. Install the rest of your programs. And, as always, you can post a question on the Directron Help Desk! (by121704) |
