Computer Security Products PC Protector PC PRO ii, 'Stand-Alone' Alarm System for The Single ComputerThe PC Protector is a 'stand-alone' alarm system for the single computer. It uses a PCI card that fits into any available PCI slot in your PC, connecting it to your monitor and printer via a cable and special security tabs. The principle is simple: if anyone disconnects the cables or if they take apart your PC or if the power is off and someone attempts to lift your computer without entering its special electronic security key, a deafening 110 decibel alarm (about as loud as any battery powered fire alarm) will sound.Features: Prevents unauthorized removal or tampering of computer, and printer. Protects up to 3 pieces of equipment at one time. Provides 24 hour security, even when the computer is switched off. Prevents RAM Chip theft. Uses a unique Electronic key system so multiple units can use the same key. No drilling, bolting, or permanent gluing is necessary. No software required. Easy to install. Specifications: Card: PCI card with gold plated edge connector. Rechargeable AA batteries. Tilt Sensor for detecting movement of CPU. Sounder (110db). Fixing plate with 3 x 3.5mm jack sockets (inputs for flying leads) 3.5mm jack socket for electronic key. Jumper switch incorporating "learn mode" electronic key facility. Flying Lead: 6" cables with jack plug molded to one end and tab connector fitted to the other end to allow tabs to be replaced. Tab: A printed membrane resistor forms the tab which will go open circuit on removal. Two versions are used - Peripheral (type 1) and CPU (type 2). The tabs are printed with a security warning. Operation: Tabs are activated 24 hours a day - whether the computer is switched on or off. The tilt sensor on the card is only active when the computer is off. The alarm sounder will remain active for 1 minute then reset. Electronic key provided to totally disarm the card for maintenance. Other: Full operating instructions. A technical help line during office hours. Packs of spare tabs, flying leads, and electronic keys are available. Limited Warranty: One year from invoice date with Directron.com. 30-Day money back from receiving date with 15% restocking fee for non-defective returns. No credit or refund after 30 days.
