Like other units with the "Boss" marking, the SMB-i4 is a fully featured business PC designed for the demanding requirements of management, designers, and developers. The SMB-i4-Boss was designed with three ideas in mind: Performance, Efficiency, and Aesthetics. Performance: The SMB-i4-Boss maximizes the performance by offering the very powerful and very popular Intel Core2 Quad Q9505 processor. This lightning fast processor features a massive 6MB of cache with a 1333MHz FSB to keep four active CPU cores populated. What does this mean to you: quick response time and less time waiting for your favorite applications even when many programs are open. To help keep things moving, the PC is also equipped with 4GB of fast DDR2 800 Memory, more than adequate for any business application, and 500GB of ultra reliable storage to house your data and applications. To insure stability to years to come, the system uses Intel's corporate stable DQ45CB motherboard. This motherboard provides a stable base for the system plus offers premium features like firewire, gigabit networking, and 5.1 channel audio to round out the system. Efficiency: In designing the SMB-i4 we realized that both your efficiency and the fficiency of your PC itself are important. To that end the SMB-i4 uses an Antec 80-PLUS EarthWatts 430W power supply. 80-PLUS means that the power supply will be at least 80% efficient compared to 65-74% on most power supplies so less of your electric costs go to making waste heat and more go to actually making your PC run. Aesthetics: The SMB-i4 offers a clean minimalist look which appeals to most tastes and fits in well in almost any surrounding. Some key features of the design are a top to bottom door which hides the typical drive bays, and convenient top-front mounted USB, Audio, and Firewire. To make the PC even more pleasing, we've included the well liked Wireless Optical Desktop 3000 keyboard and mouse set so there's less clutter on the top of the desk, which helps the minimalist approach.
