Second Operation Lan PartyThe 2nd Operation LAN was held on July 12 in Houston, Texas. The attendance was about 170 people, with about 50% increase in total players from the first show. Much of the power issue was resolved. The games were started approximately on time; but because of the increased attendance (13 teams vs. previous 6 teams), the DFI Counter Strike tournament was not finished until 4:30am. A total of more than $4200 prizes were given out to the winners (vs. $3200 last time), including more than $1000 worth of products through raffles. The Antec Case Mod Contest attracted some serious contestants. We expanded to reward three top winners from five finalists. We decided to give prizes also to the second team of the DFI Counter Strike Tournament. The entire night had 18 individual winners besides raffle winners.
Here are the winners:
Zalman Street Fighter Showdown
1st, Toefr, Thang Cao
2nd, Sungjin, Sunjin Park
