I especially like the notices on order status (VERY important when buying online) and the prompt reaction of the order placement. The only thing that kept me from buying everything from Directron is price. Some of the competitors sell some items for much less (service is almost worth the extra $, but I can deal with a little bit of crappy service.....). "Just found your site, nice look and navigation and you seem to have pretty good prices. My only gripe (and a pretty big one) is that there are A LOT of items that are still listed and linked that are SOLD OUT! I understand keeping the web page there for external links, so they don't get a page not found, but these items should not be listed when browsing through items for a potential customer on your site... "I purchased a computer from you last Saturday, the Think Box AMD Athlon T-Bird 850, with upgrades to the memory and to a DVD. I received it on Thursday (one day earlier than anticipated). I got my programs installed and running by the next day. I then ran a few bench marks on the computer systems. I found that your deliver your product AHEAD of schedule and it performed exactly as advertised. The bench marks all matched your performance promises. (I have found that neither emachine or gateway computers match their advertised ratings). I compared prices and your companies' ratings before buying this computer. I am glad that I did. I only paid $690 for the computer, including shipping. This is less than 1/2 the price I would have paid anywhere else - and I would have had to add memory myself. It was well worth waiting 5 days to get the computer for this price. Based on my experience, I will highly recommend your company all of my friends and co-workers without any hesitation. occasion to call you guys on the phone and I really appreciated talking to people who had my purchase info and customer profile on line at their finger tips. This enabled us to get right to the part of the call that I was interested in, and kept the time required to support the customer to a minimum. I wish others did the kind of great job you do. Now I have two book PC questions.
1) One of my older book PCs no longer boots. I have replaced the memory, processor, swapped power supplies, disconnected the drives and performed many other diagnostics. I believe the problem is in the electronics which actually power up the motherboard. (details on why will be provided if you care.) How can I purchase a new motherboard for the book PC?
2) I have 4 book PCs but only 1 remote control, can I buy more for the other machines?
