Summer School

Hua Xia offers full-time summer programs to help working parents finding a great place for their children to spend a fun and learning summer.

Students: Four year or older.

Dates: 10 weeks in two 5-week sessions. The first session covers June to early July. The second session covers July to August.

Hours: 7:30am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday.

Costs:

Full-day program: $95/week, $455/session

Half-day program: $55/week, $255/session

Single-day program: $25/day

Each program requires $30 non-refundable application fee. $15 Discount is offered for early enrollment. The regular classroom materials are included in the tuition.

The actual cost may vary from year to year. The above cost is for Summer 2002.

Other Expenses: Students are allowed to bring their own lunch. The School offers lunch at $3.00 per person. Snacks and drinks are provided twice per day without additonal cost. Additional expenses may be required for out-door activities and field trips depending on the actual item.

Field Trip Possibilities: Once per week. Transportation included. Space Center Houston, Houston Zoo, Moody Gardens, The Children Museum, Battleship Texas, Celebration Station, FunPlex, Museum of Health Science, Blue Bell Creamery, SplashTown, Movies, UH Gameroom, Exposure Rock Climbing, Oil Banch, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Quilian Community Center (Swimming), San Jacinto State Historic Park, Forbidden Garden, Kemah Boardwalk Amusement, and others.

Refund: Application fee is not refundable. No exception, please. Tuition is refundable the week before the class starts. Once the class starts, the tuition is non-refundable.

Classes: Morning: Chinese, Math, English, and Natural Science. Afternoon: Ping Pong, Computers, Martial Arts, Painting & Arts, Chess & Checkers, and Crafting. Actual contents may vary.

Features: (1) Special Chinese sessions using unique techniques. (2) Special Math sessions on algebra, geometry, fast calculation, etc. (3) PSAT and SAT English, vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing. (4) Talent sessions with Ping Pong, Pool, swimming, arts, martial arts, basketball, and badminton.

Special Classes: PSAT, SAT , ESL, and Ping Pong. Extra tuition and separate application fees apply.

Holidays: One day vacation on July the 4th.

Closing Celebration: August 9th, Friday.
