For the CPU and motherboard we have a one two punch of a Asus M4A785-M motherboard with a AMD Phenom II X3 705e energy efficient Tri-Core processor. The e in the processor model means the processor operates much more energy efficiently and produces less heat. The combination is enhanced by Asus's EPU engine on the motherboard which reduces overall power usage of your PC, while not sacrificing performance. The energy saving features continue on to the case and powersupply with the Antec NSK2480 case. This case features a 80%+ efficient power supply, great aesthetics, and many noise reduction features to help ensure your PC will be running optimally without driving you crazy from the noise. The energy saving features are completed with a energy efficient and quiet Western Digital Green series hard drive. But what fun is a media PC if it's just energy efficient and quiet? This PC provides virtually everything you'd want on the media side. You've got a TV decent TV / FM turner solution with the included Hauppauge 1128 Hybrid Video Recorder, and a included Media Center remote control insures you can watch w/o having a mouse and keyboard handy. Media connections are a snap with this PC with it's flexible options for displays [HDMI, DVI, and VGA are all available].
