Retail package with resealable cover. Directron Review: The shake proof washer, also called an anti-vibration fan gasket, is one of the best things to happen to cases in quite some time. One of the biggest causes of fan noise in a system is the transfer of motor vibrations between the case fan and its mounting. This vibration can travel through your case causing your side panels to rattle like steel drums. These washers prevent vibration from transferring into the mounting there by preventing such noise. The washers also are ideal for absorbing shock, which is helpful if you move your system a lot. It does not help if the fan is mounted onto the case by the action of a plastic or metal cage that is sometimes found in some cases. (3) Also works between the fan and a heatsink. (4) Also available in other sizes: 80mm and 60mm. (5) Fan screws are not included. (6) The second most popular size for case fans is 92mm. Some people call these fans 90mm or 9cm. In reality they are all the same size. These washers work for fans listed as 92mm and ones listed as 90mm/9cm. (7) Also called fan shock absorber and cushion or anti-vibration fan gasket. (8) Same function as Antec PC noise killer kit and Vantec vibration dampener kits.
