Linksys 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit USB Adapter, Model: USB1000Now you can connect to 10/100 Ethernet and Gigabit networks without having to open your PC. The Gigabit USB Adapter from Linksys works with any USB 1.1 or 2.0 equipped desktop or notebook PC, running any version of Windows that supports USB. Its integrated USB cable connects directly to a USB port on your PC or hub. Then just connect a Category 5 Ethernet network cable to the Adapter's RJ-45 port, install the included device driver, and you're networked.The Gigabit USB Adapter is bus-powered, drawing power from the host PC so it doesn't need an external power cord. The Adapter automatically negotiates for the network's best speed, 10, 100, or a screaming 1000 megabits per second. (Your actual throughput will depend on your PCs USB implementation, and other traffic on the USB bus.) The easy-to-read LEDs let you know the link status, your link speed, and network activity. The compact design is easy to pack, with its new pop-up Ethernet connector that folds flat when not in use, and integrated USB cable that winds up around the case for storage.
