U.S. Robotics 56K V.92 Performance Pro Internal PCI Modem, Model: USR5610BThe 56K Performance Pro Modem brings home and small business users the superior performance of controller-based online communication for faster throughput. It also means that users aren't limited to Windows-based applications. This modem supports Linux and Windows, so it will work with a wide range of business applications and games. And speaking of games, you can switch the Performance Pro Modem into gaming mode any time you're ready for some online competition. Enhanced performance settings give you quicker response times. And when it's time to go back to the real world, just turn the gaming mode off - the modem automatically returns to its normal configuration.Advanced line probing technology finds the "potholes" in your V.92/V.90 connection. It tells your provider's equipment how to avoid the conditions that cause slowdowns and dropped calls. So the latest weather maps, live audio broadcasts, even streaming video come to you at the highest speed possible on your line. Even first-time modem users will find the Performance Pro Modem simple to install. All the necessary data and fax software and V.92 enabling utilities install easily from the Installation CD.
