 TV Tuner, Video Capturing, and Multimedia Cards
A TV tuner allows you to receive TV signals from antenna, cable TV or VCR on their PC. A Video capture card allows one to record video signals. Some video cards now include these features and collectively call them VIVO which is short hand for Video In, Video Out. With a VIVO card you do not need a capture card but the down side is that you can't keep the video capture function independent of the video card functionality. This basically means that if either function breaks you lose both functions. If you intend to video capture on a regular basis then a dedicated card is best. If you think you will only use the feature occasionally then a VIVO card is best.
