You are permitted and encouraged to create links to this page from your own web site. Shex: Make Windows 98 More Useful. Step 1. Start with a fresh install of Windows 98. Step 2. Run Windows Update. It has been a long time since Windows 98 was created, there are lots of fixes to download. Step 3. Install new drivers from the manufactures site, even for devices Windows auto detects (the ones on the CD are often old. Step 4. Download and install the UNOFFICIAL Windows98 Second Edition Service Pack from http://exuberant.ms11.net/98sesp.html This is an unofficial service pack for Windows 98 that fixes many of the bugs Microsoft left and adds several new features. Step 5. Install 7Zip - http://www.7-zip.org/ 7Zip is a small free unzip tool. Step 6. Install burnatonce - http://www.burnatonce.com/ a free cd burning program. Step 7. Enjoy your system.
