Comments: A few weeks ago I purchased an Inwin S500 case from your web site. I chose the case because AMD recommends it for Athlon systems. When placing the order I chose to have 2 case fans added and an upgrade to a 300W "Athlon certified" power supply. After receiving the case I went to AMD's website to see if the power supply was listed as a recommended one, it wasn't. To me this was missleading on your part. If the power supply was Athlon certified, wouldn't it be on the list of recommended power supplies?

I sent an email in an attempt to combine orders which were placed within an hour of each other to save shipping costs. Unfortunatley there was no acknowledgement and the orders came separately. Shipping costs were therefore high.

2. Some parts were missing and I never did receive them

3. Service from Directron is lousy to non-existant both before and after the sale.

4. One or more parts were defective and had to be sent back because I could never get to even speak with a technician.

5. I've been waiting for two weeks so far for the replacement parts and haven't received them yet.

6. I will pobably have to write a letter and threaten to sue them just to get my parts since the company never bothers to answer emails unless they are sent directly to the company president.

7. Sending the comments and contact info to directron is a waste of time and energy since it is patently obvious that the only comments they are interested in are favorable ones....have you EVER seen any unfavorable comments posted at their...or anyone elses...site?

8. I've already told a number of people how bad their service is and, so I'm sure they've already lost several potential customers and are sure to lose a lot more!

Comments: First of all, I had to call back up three days later to find out that my order was lost in the office. And that my order was not to be received until that next monday which I had ordered it the first time on Thursday and didn't receive it till the next Monday becuase of UPS not delivering on weekends. So I had to wait a full week and some. And another thing, when I did call for help, I was hung up on, maybe not intentionally but probably because someone does not know how to work the hold button, and it wasn't just once. Another thing is that I had ordered a paticular keyboard that was on the first page and the second version for the translucent keyboard was another option or so I thought. I received the second version of it. Someone siad that they would fix that web page issue. And when I had called up about trying to find out about this keyboard screw-up someone answered (male) and siad can you hold, of course I said yes. This time they didnt put me on hold and just had the phone off the hook and I could hear everything that was going on.. This guy was talking about a shipping option and cost issue with another co-worker and then he asked another guy if he could get this on line 1 "and see what the HELL he wants" I dont think that this is very professional at all, I am in the military and I have to act professional behind doors, phones, etc. etc. Just in case that kind of stuff happens. Go Figure. So NO, I am not happy that I had to wait, get the wrong item, and got treated like an idiot on the phone. I am not just some damn scrub wanting to build a computer. Next time I will probably take my money somewhere else. I like the prices but I would much rather pay the extra buck for the courtesy and service that a regular customer deserves. I think that Directron should have at least paid for the mess-up on the order being lost and sent my order overnight or next day mail or something. I was really looking forward to having this thing that weekend. But OH WELL! He'll just have to wait it out and get it when it gets there.. Feel free to e-mail me for further questionaires. I kind of like these. Its gets it off the chest. Have A Nice Day! :) Oh ya,, recommendations: Get someone in there that knows how to work a phone, is courtious, and is willing to pay the cost for their screw-up. Comments: I was very disappointed with the service I received from Directron.com. My order was placed on 1/27/00, the items were in stock and should have been received in 1 to 1 and 1/2 weeks. I tried to call customer service on 2/7 and 2/8, was not able to get through. I also sent an email on 2/8 that was never replied to. On 2/10 I spoke with Zach in customer service. Although polite, he could not tell me if or when my order was shipped. Zach took my name and number and told me he would callback. I waited 24 hours, no callback, called CS and spoke with Zach again. He informed me that although my credit card had been charged, he was not able to find any shipping information or invoice for the order. Zach advised me he would have the order re-shipped by UPS 3 day service at no additional cost. Monday 2/14 I received the email with UPS tracking number and when the order was traced I found it had been shipped UPS regular ground. My order is due to be delivered 2/18/00, over 3 weeks after it was placed. I am not satisfied with this level of service. I will not order from Directon.com again, nor will I recommend this site to friends and assoicates. Patrici H

Comments: I ordered PII chip converter to ppga and the web site stated that a cpu fan was included, it wasn't shipped, I e-mailed and complained (also about roaches in the shipping container)to Directron, I got a smart-ass e-mail concerning the roaches and a comment that they would check into the fan issue. It's been a month and I've heard nothing, I order a bunch of stuff from these guys, and they do a great job getting orders out the same day, and they have good prices, but put the final touch on, customer service.....

Comments: While my order went off without a hitch, I wish I could say the same for my roommate. He was supposed to receive a 2% discount on his order by referencing my name and order number. He didn't. He agreed to use Fed Ex 3 day shipping at a cost of approx. $25 and Directron decided to change that to UPS and charge him $75!! He placed the order two weeks ago and just got notification of it being in town yesterday. He refused the order at the door due to the unauthorized shipping charges and now I fear that he will have to wait forever and a day to get credited back on his credit card. The reason I am mentioning all of this is that it upsets me just as much as my roommate. He is a good friend and I'm the one who recommended Directron to him so of course I feel bad that he has to go through this. The end result is that Directron has now lost two customers and I will make sure to tell everyone that I can not to order from them as they cannot be trusted.

My order for a computer case was processed quickly, and I received it by UPS ground within about 3 days.

Your shipping from South Texas to Paducah, KY is, in my experience, much faster than that I get from vendors in California. One vendor there, while having good products and service, is very slow at getting UPS shipments here. Once I have a UPS tracking number from them it takes several days just to see it on the UPS tracking site. I normally expect to wait 8-10 days to get anything from them --- that's too long sometimes. So I do appreciate your prompt shipping.

The case I got was well constructed and I was pleased with it.

Comments: Conerning this order, I was not as upset (as opposed to the 17581 order). The only complaint I had for this order was that I was never told it was being shipped with order 17581, so until I recieved it in the mail, I was under the assumption that it had yet to be sent. I also would like to suggest that customers should be able to view their previous orders online through the site, something that appears to be a common characteristic of all other computer part distributors I have dealt with online.

Comments: Previous to ordering, I submitted a question about OEM products to the sales department (sales@directron.us) and never recieved a reply. This lack of response sent me to another distributor for the products in question. The power supply I recieved from directron on this order (17581) was DOA, I confirmed so by testing it with a multimeter. I don't like the fact that I was not provided with a 1-800 number to contact them with after I ordered like promised in their FAQ pages. And I don't like the fact that I have to request to use credit for my return, it should be automatically used for my next order (I only know about this from reading their page, I have yet to hear back about my bad power supply). Their speed in shipping my orders is their only quality that would cause me to return to them for a repeat order. Hence the reason I ordered a new power supply from them, as the return policy on my processor and RAM only lasts 7 days, and I cannot test them without the proper power supply. Please note though that if I was not in a hurry to due to that return policy, I would have not ordered another power supply from directron. It also displeased me that I did not have the option to return the item for my money back on the request form, since I find it unlikely that I will order from them again.

Comments: A few weeks ago I purchased an Inwin S500 case from your web site. I chose the case because AMD recommends it for Athlon systems. When placing the order I chose to have 2 case fans added and an upgrade to a 300W "Athlon certified" power supply. After receiving the case I went to AMD's website to see if the power supply was listed as a recommended one, it wasn't. To me this was missleading on your part. If the power supply was Athlon certified, wouldn't it be on the list of recommended power supplies?

I sent an email in an attempt to combine orders which were placed within an hour of each other to save shipping costs. Unfortunatley there was no acknowledgement and the orders came separately. Shipping costs were therefore high.

2. Some parts were missing and I never did receive them

3. Service from Directron is lousy to non-existant both before and after the sale.

4. One or more parts were defective and had to be sent back because I could never get to even speak with a technician.

5. I've been waiting for two weeks so far for the replacement parts and haven't received them yet.

6. I will pobably have to write a letter and threaten to sue them just to get my parts since the company never bothers to answer emails unless they are sent directly to the company president.

7. Sending the comments and contact info to directron is a waste of time and energy since it is patently obvious that the only comments they are interested in are favorable ones....have you EVER seen any unfavorable comments posted at their...or anyone elses...site?

8. I've already told a number of people how bad their service is and, so I'm sure they've already lost several potential customers and are sure to lose a lot more!

Comments: First of all, I had to call back up three days later to find out that my order was lost in the office. And that my order was not to be received until that next monday which I had ordered it the first time on Thursday and didn't receive it till the next Monday becuase of UPS not delivering on weekends. So I had to wait a full week and some. And another thing, when I did call for help, I was hung up on, maybe not intentionally but probably because someone does not know how to work the hold button, and it wasn't just once. Another thing is that I had ordered a paticular keyboard that was on the first page and the second version for the translucent keyboard was another option or so I thought. I received the second version of it. Someone siad that they would fix that web page issue. And when I had called up about trying to find out about this keyboard screw-up someone answered (male) and siad can you hold, of course I said yes. This time they didnt put me on hold and just had the phone off the hook and I could hear everything that was going on.. This guy was talking about a shipping option and cost issue with another co-worker and then he asked another guy if he could get this on line 1 "and see what the HELL he wants" I dont think that this is very professional at all, I am in the military and I have to act professional behind doors, phones, etc. etc. Just in case that kind of stuff happens. Go Figure. So NO, I am not happy that I had to wait, get the wrong item, and got treated like an idiot on the phone. I am not just some damn scrub wanting to build a computer. Next time I will probably take my money somewhere else. I like the prices but I would much rather pay the extra buck for the courtesy and service that a regular customer deserves. I think that Directron should have at least paid for the mess-up on the order being lost and sent my order overnight or next day mail or something. I was really looking forward to having this thing that weekend. But OH WELL! He'll just have to wait it out and get it when it gets there.. Feel free to e-mail me for further questionaires. Comments: I was very disappointed with the service I received from Directron.com. My order was placed on 1/27/00, the items were in stock and should have been received in 1 to 1 and 1/2 weeks. I tried to call customer service on 2/7 and 2/8, was not able to get through. I also sent an email on 2/8 that was never replied to. On 2/10 I spoke with Zach in customer service. Although polite, he could not tell me if or when my order was shipped. Zach took my name and number and told me he would callback. I waited 24 hours, no callback, called CS and spoke with Zach again. He informed me that although my credit card had been charged, he was not able to find any shipping information or invoice for the order. Zach advised me he would have the order re-shipped by UPS 3 day service at no additional cost. Monday 2/14 I received the email with UPS tracking number and when the order was traced I found it had been shipped UPS regular ground. My order is due to be delivered 2/18/00, over 3 weeks after it was placed. I am not satisfied with this level of service. I will not order from Directon.com again, nor will I recommend this site to friends and assoicates. Patrici H

Comments: I ordered PII chip converter to ppga and the web site stated that a cpu fan was included, it wasn't shipped, I e-mailed and complained (also about roaches in the shipping container)to Directron, I got a smart-ass e-mail concerning the roaches and a comment that they would check into the fan issue. It's been a month and I've heard nothing, I order a bunch of stuff from these guys, and they do a great job getting orders out the same day, and they have good prices, but put the final touch on, customer service.....

Comments: While my order went off without a hitch, I wish I could say the same for my roommate. He was supposed to receive a 2% discount on his order by referencing my name and order number. He didn't. He agreed to use Fed Ex 3 day shipping at a cost of approx. $25 and Directron decided to change that to UPS and charge him $75!! He placed the order two weeks ago and just got notification of it being in town yesterday. He refused the order at the door due to the unauthorized shipping charges and now I fear that he will have to wait forever and a day to get credited back on his credit card. The reason I am mentioning all of this is that it upsets me just as much as my roommate. He is a good friend and I'm the one who recommended Directron to him so of course I feel bad that he has to go through this. The end result is that Directron has now lost two customers and I will make sure to tell everyone that I can not to order from them as they cannot be trusted.

My order for a computer case was processed quickly, and I received it by UPS ground within about 3 days.

Your shipping from South Texas to Paducah, KY is, in my experience, much faster than that I get from vendors in California. One vendor there, while having good products and service, is very slow at getting UPS shipments here. Once I have a UPS tracking number from them it takes several days just to see it on the UPS tracking site. I normally expect to wait 8-10 days to get anything from them --- that's too long sometimes. So I do appreciate your prompt shipping.

The case I got was well constructed and I was pleased with it.

The only complaint I had for this order was that I was never told it was being shipped with order 17581, so until I recieved it in the mail, I was under the assumption that it had yet to be sent. I also would like to suggest that customers should be able to view their previous orders online through the site, something that appears to be a common characteristic of all other computer part distributors I have dealt with online.

Comments: Previous to ordering, I submitted a question about OEM products to the sales department (sales@directron.us) and never recieved a reply. This lack of response sent me to another distributor for the products in question. The power supply I recieved from directron on this order (17581) was DOA, I confirmed so by testing it with a multimeter. I don't like the fact that I was not provided with a 1-800 number to contact them with after I ordered like promised in their FAQ pages. And I don't like the fact that I have to request to use credit for my return, it should be automatically used for my next order (I only know about this from reading their page, I have yet to hear back about my bad power supply). Their speed in shipping my orders is their only quality that would cause me to return to them for a repeat order. Hence the reason I ordered a new power supply from them, as the return policy on my processor and RAM only lasts 7 days, and I cannot test them without the proper power supply. Please note though that if I was not in a hurry to due to that return policy, I would have not ordered another power supply from directron. It also displeased me that I did not have the option to return the item for my money back on the request form, since I find it unlikely that I will order from them again.
